专利说明:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] This invention relates to a control system for a building. In particular, the invention relates to a solution facilitating efficient smoke removal in case of a fire, for instance. DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART [0002] Previously there are known control systems with a control center that controls operation of safety devices arranged to remove smoke from respective fire sections of a building. [0003] With such control systems the fire brigade arriving to a building is provided with efficient devices to remove smoke from a desired part of a building once a need for smoke removal arises. The user interface of the control center is provided with control buttons that are connected to the safety devices located in the different fire sections. Once the location of the fire or of smoke is determined, a person located at the control center is able to press the correct button and activate the correct safety devices in order to remove smoke form the fire section in question. [0004] A challenge with the previously known solution is that the person from the fire brigade arriving to the location of the control center needs to make a quick decision on what to do. This is a challenge, because in praxis each building has a unique floorplan and control system. Therefore at the location, the person needs to rapidly study the available paper copy of the floorplan and based on this floorplan determine the correct fire section where smoke removal is needed and after this identify the correct control button which is connected to the safety devices of this fire section. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0005] An object of the present invention is to solve the above mentioned problem and to provide a control system which is more user friendly and efficient to use. [0006] A control system with a memory containing a floorplan containing information about the locations of the fire sections, with a user interface having a 20175769 prh 29 -08- 2017 display visually indicating from where an indication of fire or smoke has been received, and with a predetermined illumination for the control button that controls the safety devices in the fire section from where an indication of smoke or fire has been received significantly assists the user to get a quick overview of the situation and to rapidly find the correct control button. [0007] Preferred embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the dependent claims. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS [0008] In the following the present invention will be described in closer detail by way of example and with reference to the attached drawings, in which [0009] Figure 1 illustrates an embodiment of a control system, and [0010] Figure 2 illustrates a display of a control center. DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE EMBODIMENT [0011] Figure 1 illustrates an embodiment of a control system 1. The control system 1 controls safety devices 2 of different fire sections 3 in a building 4 by means of a control center 5. The control center 5 may be implemented with circuit solutions, with a computer running software or as a combination of circuits and software. [0012] In Figure 1 it is for simplicity indicated that the safety devices 2 and detectors 6 of the different fire sections 3 are each directly connected to the control center via one or more inputs 9. However, this is only an example and in practical implementations one or more secondary control centers may be arranged between these components such that the control center 5 is connected only to such secondary control centers. One possibility is that each fire section 3 is provided with a secondary control center, which communicates with the control center 5. [0013] The safety devices 2 may include any devices capable of participating in the removal of smoke from a fire section 3. Examples of such safety devices 2 include a fan for generating an airflow and a smoke hatch which can be opened for providing an exit for smoke. The detectors 6 may include smoke detectors or fire detectors, for instance. [0014] The illustrated control center 5 is provided with a user interface comprising control buttons 7 and a display 8. The control buttons 7 allow a user to provide the safety devices 2 of a fire section 3 selected by the user with control signals in order to control removal of smoke from this fire section. One alternative 20175769 prh 29 -08- 2017 is that use of one of the control buttons 7 opens a smoke hatch in the fire section in question and also activates a fan to blow air out via this hatch. The control buttons 7 may be implemented as mechanical switches (as illustrated in Figure 1) or alternatively as soft buttons on a touch screen, in case the display 8 is implemented as a touch screen. [0015] In order to make it easy for the user to determine which control button should be pressed when the control center is provided with detector signals indicating smoke or fire, the control system is provided with a memory 10 containing a floorplan of the building 4. This floorplan contains information about the locations of the fire sections 3. In the illustrated example this memory is included in the control center 5. This floorplan is utilized by the control center 5 to provide on the display 8 a visual indication of the location of the fire section in the building from where an indication of fire or smoke has been received. [0016] Additionally, once indication of fire or smoke has been received, the control center 5 provides a predetermined illumination for the control button 7 which controls the safety devices 2 to remove smoke from the fire section 3 from where the indication of smoke or fire has been received. In case of a mechanical control button, the control button may be provided with a LED or other means for illuminating the control button in a predetermined way. Alternatively, in case of a soft button on a touch screen, the screen area of the display where the soft button is located by be altered into a predetermined color, for instance. In any case, once the display provides the user with the floorplan illustrating the correct fire section 3 and the correct control button 7 is illuminated in a predetermined way, it is very easy for the user to quickly understand the situation and also to quickly find the correct control button on the user interface. [0017] Preferably, though not necessarily in all implementations, the display 8 of the control center 5 may indicate for the user the status of the safety devices 2 once the user has controlled them to remove smoke from the fire section 3 in question. This status may include the indications: Fire hatches opening, Fans starting, Fire hatches open and Smoke removal ongoing, for instance, as the safety devices have been activated and are starting to remove smoke. In this way the user continuously knows the situation of the safety devices while these are starting. [0018] In the illustrated example it is by way of example assumed that each fire section 3 is provided with more than one detector 6. In that case the control system 1 may be arranged to automatically control the safety devices 2 of a fire 20175769 prh 29 -08- 2017 section 3 to remove smoke from this fire section when signals indicating smoke or fire in this fire section 3 have been received from at least two different smoke or fire detectors. In such a situation the risk of automatically reacting on a false alarm from one single detector only can be eliminated, and in order to minimize damage automatic actions can be allowed already before a user from the fire brigade has reached the control unit 1. Additionally, or as an alternative to automatically controlling the safety devices 2 to remove smoke when an indication has been received from two different detectors, in such a situation the graphical illustration on the display 8 may change to more clearly indicate a serious situation. One alternative is to provided the graphical illustration of the fire section 3 in question with a sign of a flame, for instance. [0019] In Figure 1 it is also assumed that the control system 1 is provided with an interface to a communication system 12 for transmitting a copy of the information shown on the display 8 of the control unit 5 to a predetermined receiver at a remote location, such as outside of the building. In that case the contact details of the predetermined receiver have been stored in advance in the control system. One alternative is that the contact details are such that a copy of the information on the display is transmitted to an emergency center or to a predetermined receiver at the fire brigade, for instance. In that case a person at the fire brigade may be provided with information about the smoke (possible fire) detected in a building via a mobile communication device 13 of a cellular communication system, such as a mobile phone or a PDA (Portable Data Assistant), for instance, already before the fire brigade reaches the building. In this way appropriate preparations and planning may start at a very early stage. [0020] Figure 2 illustrates a display of a control center. The control center may be a similar control center 5 of a similar system 1 as has been explained in connection with Figure 1, for instance. [0021] In Figure 2 the display 8' provides a visual indication of the location of the fire section 101 by displaying a first graphical illustration 20' of the floor from where an indication of smoke or fire has been received. In this first graphical illustration 20' the fire section 101 from where an indication has been received is illustrated with a hatch while the other fire sections 102, 103, 104, 105 and 106 are illustrated without a hatch. [0022] In Figure 2 the display 8' additionally provides a second graphical illustration 21' showing at least one of the floors above or below the fire section 101 from where the indication has been received. From the second graphical illustration 21' one can see, that the indication has been received from the second uppermost floor 22' only, and not from the floors above or below. In this way it is very easy for the person using the control center to identify the locations directly above and directly under the fire section 101 which immediately need to be 5 checked to see if fire or smoke can be found also in these locations. [0023] Figure 2 also illustrates the control buttons corresponding to the fire sections 101 - 106. Of these control buttons, the one corresponding to the fire section 101 from where the indication of smoke or fire has been received is illuminated in a predetermined way by a LED included into this mechanical 10 control button. [0024] It is to be understood that the above description and the accompanying figures are only intended to illustrate the present invention. It will be obvious to a person skilled in the art that the invention can be varied and modified without departing from the scope of the invention.
